God's hands upon your life

And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground. Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field, says the Lord of Hosts.” (Malachi 3:11)

When the Bible says ‘the Lord of Hosts’, it is referring to God as the Commander of the Army of Angels, and that brings to mind the idea of war. The purpose of an army is to defend its country. God is the defender of health and prosperity. He defends the well-being of His people, His nation and His kingdom. The war that the Bible talks about is the war of celestial powers against the powers of hell, in order to defend and protect the people of God.

In the Garden of Eden, after having created all the riches on earth, God gave the earth to Adam and Eve to take good care of, using the authority He had given them. However, they gave this authority over to the devil when they disobeyed God. Despite this incident, the earth is still God’s property and He gives authority to those who obey His word.

Those who are truly faithful to Him, not only stay far away from sin, but consider the Lord of Hosts to be the Lord of their life as well.

Also, when they give God what belongs to Him, the Lord is obliged to fulfil His abundant promises in their lives. It makes no difference if the person is intellectually capable, if he was born rich, if he is black or white, if he’s young or old, married or single, well educated or not. None of these things are important to God!

What pleases God is the obedience to His word by faith. The Lord of Hosts has commanded His army to fight against the devourer that dares to touch the riches set aside for those who are obedient to Him. He is ready to defend those who consider Him the Lord of their lives.

This is why the people of God are obliged to have control and dominion over whatever belongs to God. It’s unacceptable that the children of darkness dominate the children of Light. Is it fair that the children of God are slaves of the children of the devil?

This was the situation of the people of Israel in Egypt! In the Garden of Eden, Adam gave his authority to the devil. But in the Garden of Gethsemane the Lord Jesus was separated from the Father and from the Holy Spirit, to take back this authority.

The tree in the middle of the garden was exclusive to God. It represented the tithe. When man touched its fruit, he immediately lost his communion with the Creator. This is what happens when we use the first fruits which should be returned to God. Once expelled from God’s presence, Adam and Eve automatically transferred themselves to the devil’s side. That is, they were under the yoke of the one who came to kill, steal, and to destroy: the devourer.

When someone starts to obey God in his tithes and offerings, he immediately transfers himself to God’s side. So, God’s will is then fulfilled: “Return to Me, and I will return to you.” (Malachi 3.7) From this moment on, this person has the Army of Angels on his side to help him take possession of the Kingdom of God and all its blessings.

God bless you.
