Is it what God wants?

The majority of Christians want to breakthrough and conquer many things; in other words, they want to be blessed. However, they should first ask themselves what God wants from them.

They want a breakthrough in their lives and they want to be used by God, but is this what God wants from them? Do you know God’s purpose for your life? In fact, dear reader, above all, God wants us to have His character. Instead of worrying about conquering, we should look carefully at our character.

Perhaps you worry about utilising your talents and standing out from the crowd, but this is not all that God wants - He wants you to have character.

He knows that the moment you have character, your talents will multiply naturally and the Holy Spirit will bless you wherever you are.“He knows that the moment you have character, your talents will multiply naturally.” Let’s see what happened when Jesus sent His disciples to preach the Gospel, heal the sick and set the captive free: “Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.’ And He said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.’” (Luke 10.17-20)

Keeping our names written in heaven is indeed a difficult task, for we live in a world of prostitution, greed and many other things that Go against God’s will. For example, when people see something being advertised and they immediately become hypnotised by the desire to have it.

Their objective is no longer to win souls and to serve God, but to get a car, a new house, etc. The first love, the desire to please Jesus and win souls for Him disappears.
The fascination with the world and the desire to have this or that divert them from their main objective. A person struggles in life, buys a new house or a new car, but not long after that he ends up losing his faith, all because he fell into the devil’s trap, who had shown the glory of this world to him in the first place.

In order for you to conquer and be blessed in all areas of your life, you have to watch your heart 24 hours a day.

God bless you abundantly.
