Since faith can move mountains, and the impossible can be reversed by faith should not those who believe enjoy of it’s benefits? By benefits we mean blessings that happen as a result of faith in action– such as healing, spiritual deliverance, salvation, and much more. “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1 (NLT) That’s the kind of faith that changes people’s life; the one that compels the person to look forward, forgetting bitter experiences of the past. It turns to be a contradiction to say: “I believe in God” when one can’t forgive, can’t let go of his heart the things that made him cry in the past. We constantly speak about putting faith into action; it refers to the things of the future, things not yet seen. If you believe in God but dwell in your past, sadness and doubts will replace faith. Faith without action is dead: ”For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:14 (KJV)
Can I say: “I have faith” (the living faith) if I keep on looking to the past? Most of the people, ho constantly concentrate on the bad past experiences, are doubtful, afraid, insecure, vulnerable, |

resentful, depressed, amongst so many other reactions which lead to spiritual and emotional Looking Forward weakness and hopelessness.
What do these feelings have to do with faith? Despite one’s religious background, his faith in God’s word and existence, if he focuses on his past, such as grudges and hatred, he is no longer using his faith.
No matter what went wrong along the way, you can get your life back – a brand new one! “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 2 Corinthians 2:17 (NLT)
For you to have a new life, the first step required is to get rid of the old one. This is done when the person diverts his concentration from the past (bad memories) to what God can do in his life (God’s word). This transition will not be an easy move at all. That’s when the Holy Spirit will act. Nevertheless, the Holy Spirit will act if the candidate is willing to follow His instruction. His work is to convince people of the right thing, is to reveal God’s way to the one who is seeking wholeheartedly |
