Why do you doubt?

The life of a person will never be greater than what his faith can afford. That is the reason why we see so many believers glorifying God with their lips but their life shows a very different reality. It is like - what I believe in is not seen in my life.

To justify one’s failure, the person will quickly blame someone or something: the government, family, neighbours, his friends… etc. In fact the one to be blamed is oneself.
“…Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
Matthew 14:28-30

What made Peter to sink was not the boisterous wind but his lack of faith! The reason why people fail is due to their lack of trust in God at difficult times. Now this explains why we see faithful Christians living as if God does not exist, being victims of witchcraft, curses and other problems that should not affect those who claim to live by faith.

There are some questions you should answer to yourself: What did you conquer through your faith in God? Can you see what God promised happening in your life? Or are you that kind of believer who cannot sleep during the night, having bad dreams, suffering of depression and under constant doubts? It is important for you to know the answers for these questions because they will show you why you are not taking full advantages of God’s promises.

You may feel as one who is drowning, thinking someone has to be responsible for your failures.

Dear reader, the real problem is not the boisterous wind, the tough situations around you, but the lack of faith in God. You need to develop trust in God and for this to happen you need to appeal to the Holy Spirit, for when you are baptized by Him, power shall come upon you (Acts 1:8) to walk on the water of problems and never more be drowned by it.

That is exactly what happened with Peter! The same one who drowned because of his fear and doubts became a great man of God. “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marvelled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, saying, “What shall we do to these men?” Acts 4:13-16

This is great! Nothing and no one can oppose a person who has been born of God! If you would like to have the same experience as Apostle Peter had, it is in your hands; seek Him and you shall find (Matthew 7:7-11) When you are born of God you will manifest the true and genuine faith in this world and become a true overcomer.
