Then the Bishop invited for
a prayer those who wanted
to start a new life with the
Lord Jesus Christ extending
the invitation to the bishops
present to minister a cry out
to God on behalf of those who
were sick, ill and crippled. After the prayer, testimonies
were collected and Mr.
Josenildo da Costa, 45, came to the vigil with back pain and
paralysed legs.
“For the past 3 years, I
have been using a walking
stick after a fall, but after
the prayer I am healed”
testified. At the foot of a huge
cross erected at the centre
of the stage, bishops made
a prayer for families and
requests brought to the altar.
Following this, the multitude
participated of the bread and
fi sh symbolizing the miracle of
Jesus in the spirit that through faith they would cease misery
in their life.
Around 11:30pm, Bishop
Macedo asked the multitude
to form a human chain by
holding hands and gave start
to the biggest deliverance
prayer in the whole world. The
bishops prayed against envy,
curses, bad luck, witchcraft
and determined that all evil
was undone from the life of
those present, in the Name
of Jesus Christ.
The Bishop’s
last prayer was for God’s
protection upon His people,
blessed the multitude and
fi nished the Vigil.
The event is a landmark for
the history of the UCKG in
this 30 years of celebration
and will be a turning point in
the life of many who attended
to it for the first time.
