Have A Blessed 2011

Have A Blessed 2011

Another year is almost gone. For some, 2010 has been a year of many achievements and victories. A year of spiritual growth. For others, it may have been a bad year that will be remembered mostly for a big loss or a life-changing problem. Either way, it’s already behind us. The good news is that, even if it was bad, with a new year comes a new opportunity to make things right.

One of the principles of faith is looking forward. I like to say that what we want is always ahead of us – never behind. There’s no point in crying and living in regret for bad decisions. It’s more productive to learn from our mistakes and use that newfound experience to build a different future.

God has some interesting things to say about this subject.

Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not inquire wisely concerning this. (Ecclesiastes 7:10)

In other words, He says it’s not wise to say that things were better in the past. We should focus on what’s ahead of us because that can be changed. He also says, ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts. (Haggai 2:9)

Though the people of Israel thought that the new temple they were building would never match the one built by Solomon, God said that its glory would be greater than the old one’s. Today we are the temples of the Holy Spirit. No matter how much God has blessed His people in the past, He wants to bless us more. The dead cannot glorify God. They fulfilled their role in the past, now it’s our turn. Got the spirit?

With this in mind, I would like to invite you to take part in our New Year’s celebration. We will break into the New Year in the presence of God. He will be the first person you’ll talk to in 2011.

I’ve been doing this for the last 20 years and I’ve seen what a difference He makes in the lives of those who believe. Come and experience that for yourself. Afterwards you can still spend some time with your family, since the service ends by 12:30am.

I look forward to see you here.

Have a blessed 2011.

New Year's Eve Vigil - Friday, 31st December at 11pm (till 12:30am)

God bless you!

Quote of the Day

" Don't wait for extraordinary opportunities. Seize common occasions and make them great. Weak men wait for opportunities; strong men make them. "
