Once, we had to unload a truck full of Bibles. There were literally hundreds of boxes, which made it impossible to see the back of the container. When I looked at that, I thought to myself, ‘Man, this will never finish…’

We started to unload the boxes one by one. In the beginning, it looked like there was no difference. It seemed that one box less wasn’t changing anything, but we kept going.

After a couple of hours the container was already by the half. By that time, no one had doubts that we were going to make it. And we did… it took some time, we worked really hard and it was tiring. But it was also rewarding.

The point I want to make is, people often get discouraged when they look at how many things they have to do. They look at the “truck” and they think, ‘I need a MIRACLE, because it’s impossible to get that last box. I can’t even see it! It’s impossible! I need help!’ What they don’t see is that to get to that last box, you have to remove the others first. You have to start somewhere and more often than not, doing something – even if it’s a very small thing – is better than doing nothing.

If you ask for God’s help and then you start taking small steps towards your goals, He’ll give you the strength and wisdom to keep going until you overcome. You need to be persistent, patient, determined – you have to be ready to try again if you fail, and as many times as needed. If you fall, you have to get back up. God will always be with you and what used to be impossible will become possible.

Miracles are the result of a joint effort between a person and God. Some miracles happen right away while others require more work. Don’t expect magic. Be ready to fight!

Here are a few tips:
- Don’t focus on the things you cannot do. Focus on the things you CAN do. Don’t waste your time thinking about the things you can’t do. After all, that won’t change anything, right? Do focus on the things you can do. Can you change your husband? No. So, don’t bother trying. But you can change yourself. Stop doing the things that bother your husband and let God do what you can’t. Be assured that you’ll have better results this way.

- Be persistent. Don’t give up if you hit a wall. Pull yourself together and keep going. If you give up, you’ll be wasting all the progress you had done until then. It’s always wiser to get up and go on from there, than allowing yourself to go to the back of the line yet again. Failing is not the same as losing. Winning is (often) succeeding where you once failed.

- Don’t forget that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. No matter what evil wants you to think, you are not alone. If you seek God, He is with you.
“The LORD is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.” (2 Chronicles 15:2)

- Come to church assiduously. Don’t underestimate the power of being in church. When Jesus taught that if two people agreed about something on earth, the Heavenly Father would give it to them, He was teaching us the importance of congregating. Praying at home by yourself is powerful, but there’s something special in uniting your faith with others. The same happens with reading the Bible. How many times you hear a Bible verse in church that you have read many times, but you had never seen it the way you were taught in church?

- The pastors are here to help. If you have doubts, do not hesitate to talk to one of the pastors. Our mission is to help you succeed. Don’t think that you’ll bother us or that you’re wasting our time. For us, no problem is too small or too big.

God bless you all!
