In 2006 Juan Molta was working as an investment analyst for a fund management company and making a six-figure income. Life was looking good for the 27 yearold Duke University graduate. One day, without warning, Juan began feeling an abnormal tiredness. At first he thought it was just workrelated stress. But after taking time off work and spending days in bed, the tiredness wouldn’t go away. He also began feeling a lot of joint pain. After consulting with several doctors, they all agreed on the diagnosis: Juan was suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).

CFS is an incurable disease that causes muscle and joint pain, mental and physical exhaustion, leading to depression. More than one million Americans suffer from CFS. It is four times more frequent in women than in men, and it affects mostly people in their 40s and 50s.

After being diagnosed with CFS Juan was unable to focus and constantly had to be off work, losing his job as a result. He went from being a professional to nothing. Expensive hospital tests and doctor’s visits offered little relief and no cure. Juan was bedridden, unable to work for a year, while the medical bills kept piling up.

Meanwhile, Juan’s mom followed up on her son’s health condition by speaking to him on the phone from her native country of Ecuador. A woman of much faith, she had been attending The Universal Church and praying for her son.

“Do whatever he tells you...”

One day, when Juan’s condition worsened, she was blunt with him: “Go and speak to one of the pastors at The Universal Church in your city. Do whatever he tells you and you will be healed.”

Tired of being tired all the time, Juan decided to take his mom’s advice.

At the The Universal Church in Dallas, Juan spoke to the pastor and decided to start attending the Tuesday healing services, as well as others, to receive his healing. He decided to give his life to God and trust in Him for his healing.

In June 2009 a Campaign of Israel came up, where church members are encouraged to send one special prayer request to the Holy Land and make a vow of sacrifice to God. Juan joined in this campaign with heart, mind, and spirit. He sacrificed whatever he had left and asked God to heal him from that incurable disease.

His act of faith called God’s attention and for the first time in over three years the symptoms of CFS began to disappear. He had no more pain and his energy levels went up dramatically. “It was a miracle,” he says. “Suddenly I was able to walk, take the bus, move around, and do everything I had been unable to do all those years! I no longer have pain, fatigue or depression.”

Juan is currently working towards starting his own company. He is full of energy and ready to keep living his life to the fullest — always grateful to God for his miraculous recovery.

Juan decided to use his faith when medicine was not helping him enough. As a result, he experienced a miracle and is totally healed.
