The pledges to Sisterhood were presented with certificates recognising the effort they had put in to tasks they were given during Rush Month. The purpose was to honour those who presented themselves as women of God by living as a positive example at home, at work and in the Church, not only accepting corrections but also making changes to their character and their life style. The pledges to Sisterhood were called individually and presented with a bracelet of Sisterhood and a certificate testifying to their pledge status. It was a night not to be forgotten by the first 6 pledges to Sisterhood in Australia. There is however still a chance for a second group to qualify during Rush Month in August. Ladies, be prepared for further information, as we get closer! |

What is the Sisterhood really about? We are a group of young women who have chosen to submit ourselves to learning how to develop into women of God. We desire more than anything to show God’s character and power through our lives. |

We have gone through a period of testing and performing tasks to prove that we are prepared to take on this responsibility of being a member of this special group. We have made a public pledge to God and to each other, to serve God, to follow the Sisterhood Code and to become a support and encouragement to each other for the rest of our lives. We meet every month for lessons and activities especially designed to challenge us and to answer our many questions as we learn what God expects of us as His women in a corrupt world. We have specific tasks that we carry out through the month between each meeting, to help us improve our habits, our character, and ourselves. We get together with our sister-pledges throughout the month for fun, to bond with each other and to build deeper friendships. We keep in contact with our Big Sisters who oversee our tasks, listen to our questions, encourage us and help us to deal with our daily struggles. We love keeping in touch with our pledge-sisters through our Sisterhood blog and through our Facebook page, knowing that others are looking out for us. We raise funds for our beautiful Pledge Ceremonies held twice a year, and also so that we can enjoy fun outings together every few months to movies, parks, restaurants or tea parties – whatever we can afford! We reach out to others in need, the elderly, prisoners and hospital patients – whomever God leads us to care for. We remain faithful We know that as we do all of these things, we change – a lot! |

What the Sisterhood is NOT…We are NOT an exclusive club that looks down on all the other young women in the church. We are NOT a group only for the most spiritually experienced girls. We do NOT discriminate based on race, on the past (old sins, spiritual struggles, etc.), on financial success or loss, family involvement in the church, physical attractiveness or any sort of favouritism. |

We do NOT accept young women, who think they don’t need to learn anymore, are proud and are rebellious towards their parents, pastor or any authority over them. We do NOT accept anyone automatically because they are an assistant, pastor’s daughter or wife, or employee of the church. Every woman must enter by her own efforts. We do NOT tolerate dishonesty or a lazy attitude towards fulfilling requirements or tasks. We CANNOT conceive of a life without submission to God and to becoming a light for Him in this world. We are NOT perfect! But we strive to please God as best we can as we humbly accept His loving correction. What can I expect if I join the Sisterhood? The Sisterhood will challenge you to change, grow and mature in a beautiful, godly way. You’ll have the privilege of being part of all these events:
