What Is a Chain of prayer

When you think of a chain, an image of strength comes to mind. Something that can tie down or bind up heavy or unmanageable items. Chains are used to restrain what is undesirable, and to protect what needs to be free. It's no wonder that we use the term, "chain of prayer" for a very powerful and effective process for people to find the healing and freedom that they need.
Every chain is made up of individual links. "If two of you agree upon anything on the earth, my Father will do it for you in heaven." (Matt. 18:19) These links may not be of much worth by themselves, but when joined together in a sequence of similar links, they make this powerful chain that is unbreakable. Your prayers can have the same power as you join prayer after prayer in a consistent show of faith.
In the Universal Church, we encourage all who are searching for God to work in their lives, to join in a chain of prayer. Come to the services, at least once a week (twice is even better), on a consistent basis, week after week, with each prayer forming a link in a strong, unified chain.
Each service you attend, allow God to speak to you to reveal new inspirations on how to pray, on what decisions to make, and on how to use your faith. Each time, pastors will offer up strong prayers that you can join in, to spiritually fight for your freedom. Though it is important that you pray privately at home for God's blessing on your life, it is also very important to join in the prayers in agreement with others in the church, as Jesus said, "If two of you agree upon anything on the earth, my Father will do it for you in heaven." (Matt. 18:19)
When is the Chain of Prayer completed? The Chain is complete, when you have your answer! There's no magic number of prayers in order for the miracle to materialize, because God deals with each of us according to our faith and our willingness to surrender to Him.
The Chain is complete, when you have your answer! But one thing we know, is that the process of fighting, seeking and using our faith, creates much more than just the miracle, even though that's what you're focusing on. It creates a deeper faith within you, and a closer bond to Him. It's an experience that makes you into a better, stronger, more joyful person.
Begin your chain of prayer this week. Determine what days of the week you will come, and be stubborn about coming. Be aware that there are forces that don't want you to get your miracle and will throw anything in your way to get you to break your chain. Don't listen to them, but keep going because God is faithful to those who are faithful.
How badly do you want the answer to your prayers? That's how badly you should fight to stay consistent in your chain. With each link, you are forging a new path for your life, that you will never regret!
